Collector privacy

Privacy at PLAYBACK

Effective August 7, 2026

What is stored

PLAYBACK stores the account details you submit, your collection records, private collection photos, optional public collector profiles and lists, barcode lookups, catalog correction submissions, and messages you send through the contact form. Passwords are stored as salted, one-way hashes rather than readable text.

Why it is used

This information is used to provide account access, synchronize collections across devices, operate collector tools, prevent abuse, answer messages, and measure broad site usage. PLAYBACK does not sell collector account data.

Cookies and analytics

Essential cookies keep signed-in sessions and language preferences working. Private first-party analytics count visits and product activity for the owner dashboard; they are not used to build third-party advertising profiles.

Storage and public sharing

Catalog media and private collection photos are stored in Cloudflare R2. A collection remains private unless its collector deliberately enables a public profile, wish list, or trade list. Public profiles never expose purchase data, personal notes, barcodes, serial numbers, or private photos. Catalog corrections remain private while awaiting owner review.

Your controls

You can download an account-level copy of your profile and collector data, export collection spreadsheets, edit your profile, disable shared lists, delete individual collection records and photos, or permanently delete your collector account from the account page. Account deletion removes account-owned collection records and private photos.

Contact

Questions about privacy can be sent through the private contact form. No owner email address is displayed publicly.
